Aleš Žnidaršič and Katja Žlajpah started to work together in 1998 and launched the brand name „multiPlan“ architectural practice.
The work of young architects is based on their idea to create spaces, architecture with the leading supposition „perfectly simple“, in coexistence with nature as well as cultural heritage. Clear idea, simple and comprehensible forms, indubitable structures are their leading principles. While performing the architectural fulfilment of an empty space they always take into consideration the values of the past, homage to environment as well as modern architectural views. The focus of the office is to work interdisciplinary involving different profiles of collaborators, trying to stay in constant relation between present reality and its local identity. The bureau’s work is present in their homeland Slovenia as well as abroad.
They draw attention especially through many prizes they have achieved with their projects answering to different calls of tenders. The most outstanding ongoing project are:
housing Brdo/ f5 zone, 8 apartment blocks, total 270 units in Ljubljana/ Slovenia,
equivalent highest award on international competition for the City hall of Skopje/ Macedonia, apartment block for supplied dwellings, total 30 units in Ljubljana/Slovenia,
swimming pool in the city Zagorje ob Savi/Slovenia, swimming pool in the city of Maribor/Slovenia, 3 markets for Koper, Slovenia, etc…
